Counterparty & Payment Release File

You are preparing to appoint, contract with or make a material payment to a cross-border counterparty and need a structured evidence view before the commitment is made.

When is this useful?

When a counterparty is about to be appointed, contracted or paid, and the decision rests on information gathered informally across email, introductions and unverified documents.

The question we help management answer

What do we actually know about this counterparty, and is the evidence sufficient to release the commitment?

Vantage does not authorise payments or make regulated compliance determinations. We organise and assess the evidence supporting management's commercial decision and identify matters requiring specialist determination.

What Vantage examines

  • Identity and corporate registration evidence, and its internal consistency
  • Ownership, control and group relationships as documented
  • Operating capability evidence: facilities, licences, personnel, references
  • Banking and payment instructions against the contracting entity
  • Contractual responsibilities and conditions attached to the payment
  • Open points, inconsistencies and unverifiable assertions

What may require specialist escalation

Sanctions determinations, regulated financial-crime opinions, legal enforceability questions and audit-level financial verification are identified and escalated to appropriately qualified specialists. Vantage does not guarantee counterparties or transaction safety.

What may happen next

The Counterparty & Payment Release File may stand alone. Where the review identifies a further evidence requirement, Vantage may scope a separate Deal Readiness, Shipment Release, Buyer-Ready Evidence or ongoing Evidence Operations engagement.

Fees are agreed following an initial scoping discussion and reflect the scope, complexity, evidence volume, urgency and characteristics of the matter.
